/ M-Tech Operating System

The managed intelligence layer for your business.

Your business already has an operating system. It’s just made from inboxes, spreadsheets, disconnected software, manual approvals and knowledge trapped in people’s heads. M/OS turns that hidden operating system into something documented, connected, automated and intelligent.

01/ The hidden operating system

Most businesses run on workarounds.

Behind every operation there's an informal operating system — the approval by email, the spreadsheet only one person understands, the Friday report built by hand, the policy answer buried in SharePoint. It works. It's also fragile.

  1. Teams rekeying data between systems

Valuable time lost to copy and paste between platforms that should already be talking to each other.

  2. Approvals trapped in inboxes

Requests bounce between people with no clear owner, audit trail or service level.

  3. Knowledge stuck in heads and documents

Policies, procedures and answers exist, but they're hard to find at the point of need.

  4. Reports built manually

Managers wait for static Friday snapshots instead of seeing live operational information.

  5. Customer and staff journeys stitched together by hand

Processes feel slow because they rely on humans pushing information from one place to another.

  6. AI experiments with no operating model

Tools appear across the business without governance, permissions, measurement or ownership.

02/ What M/OS is

A structured way to make your business visible, connected and intelligent.

M/OS isn’t a single app, and it isn’t another generic AI tool. It’s a practical operating model for deploying automation, AI, integrations, voice agents and bespoke software into the real workflows of a business.

We start by understanding how work actually happens. Then we design the right combination of workflow, data, integration, intelligence and user experience. Sometimes the answer is an automation. Sometimes an AI assistant. Sometimes a voice agent, a dashboard, an internal tool, an API integration or a better- governed process. Often it’s a combination of all of them.

M/OS turns the messy reality of how your business works into a connected, documented and increasingly automated operating system.

Practical business engineering: workflow, data, automation, software and managed intelligence brought together into one operating model. Not AI theatre.

03/ The operating layer

Five layers. One model.

M/OS brings together the five layers that determine how work moves through a business. Get them aligned and AI lands properly. Skip a layer and the rest of the work papers over the gap.

04/ The intelligence inside

Train a model that knows your business.

Frontier AI is good. A model trained on your own work is better — at your work. M/OS deploys a mix: a domain-trained model where you’ll feel the difference, frontier models where their breadth earns the trade-off, and the right hosting underneath either way.

A model trained on your business

Take a strong open-source model and train it on your own corpus — policies, contracts, tickets, knowledge bases, the institutional decisions that live in people's heads. The result is a model that handles your work the way an experienced new hire would after eighteen months — except it joins on day one and never leaves. We do this in production today.

Frontier models, where they fit

Anthropic Claude, OpenAI GPT and Google Gemini do general reasoning at a depth a trained domain model can't match. We use them where the task is broad, the data is sensible and the breadth justifies sending the work outside.

Run it where it needs to run

On infrastructure we host, on infrastructure you host, or on the relevant frontier API — chosen per workflow against data residency, sector regulation and commercial sensitivity. The model is one choice; where it runs is another.

The headline isn’t which model we use. It’s that the right one for your business might not exist yet — and we can build it.

/ Where it runs

Data residency or compliance commitments shaping the choice? Continuous Compliance keeps those promises true as platforms shift underneath them.

05/ The modules

A repeatable model, not a random collection of tools.

Eight modules that show up across every M/OS engagement, in different combinations. Some at the start, some throughout, some only when the business is ready.

/ Phase one
Build the layer

M/OS Discover

Understand current workflows, tools, data, risks and opportunities.

M/OS Blueprint

Document the target operating model and prioritise what to build first.

M/OS Automate

Build dependable workflow automations and integrations between systems.

M/OS Assist

Deploy AI assistants and agents grounded in your own systems and documents.

M/OS Voice

Use voice AI where the phone or speech is the right interface.

M/OS Build

Create the missing internal tools and portals that off-the-shelf products don't cover.

/ Phase two
Run the layer

M/OS Govern

Make AI and automation safe, auditable and manageable from day one.

M/OS Improve

Operate and improve the operating layer over time, not just at launch.

06/ How we deliver it

Start small. Prove value. Build the operating layer over time.

M/OS is designed to start with clarity, not a giant transformation programme. Identify the workflows and use cases that matter, prove value quickly, then extend the operating layer as the business gains confidence.

  1. Assess

Start with Ai/ssessor, a discovery session or a structured M/OS assessment. Get a read on where the friction sits and what’s worth working on first.

  2. Map

Document the workflows, systems, handoffs, data sources and risks that the business actually depends on — current state, not the org chart.

  3. Prioritise

Score opportunities by value, complexity, risk, readiness and speed to deliver. Build the 90-day roadmap from the top of that list.

  4. Prototype

Build a working assistant, automation, integration, dashboard, voice agent or internal tool — small enough to ship, real enough to prove value.

  5. Deploy

Launch into a supported, secure and governed environment. Identity, audit, approval flows and monitoring in place from day one.

  6. Improve

Measure usage, refine the workflow, add new capabilities. The operating layer grows as confidence grows.

08/ Governed by design

AI and automation need control, not guesswork.

M/OS is built for real businesses, not experiments that sit outside normal governance. Every assistant, workflow, integration and application needs the right access model, audit trail, support process and human approval points.

Identity and permissions

Users and agents only access the systems and data they're allowed to use. Scoped by role, audited end-to-end.

Data governance

Sources, retention, classification and sensitivity are understood before AI is connected to anything.

Human approval points

Sensitive actions get routed to a person, not blindly automated. The default for anything that matters.

Audit and observability

Actions, exceptions, errors and outcomes are logged and reviewable — for incidents, for auditors, for boards.

Secure development

Tested, scanned, maintainable code shipped through proper deployment discipline. Aikido and Zoonou underneath.

Lifecycle management

Prompts, workflows, integrations and assistants are documented, versioned and improved — not abandoned experiments.

Compliance alignment

UK GDPR, ICO guidance, ISO 27001, sector regimes and your own internal policy — mapped, not assumed.

Supportability

Every M/OS component is monitorable, supportable and owned. If it can't be operated, it doesn't ship.

09/ What changes

Less manual effort. More capacity. Better control.

The three outcomes worth committing to. Everything else is a feature of these.

Less manual effort

Less rekeying between systems. Fewer approval chains stuck in inboxes. Fewer reports built by hand on a Friday afternoon.

More capacity

Repeatable work absorbed by automation and assistants — freeing people for judgement, exceptions and the relationships that actually need a human.

Better control

Identity, audit, governance and compliance baked in from the start. AI adoption that earns its place in a regulated, well-run organisation.
